My approach is integrative. That means the methods are used as a shared language for understanding and changing what has become difficult, not as fixed packages applied to every person.

CBT

Cognitive behavioural therapy focuses on links between situations, thoughts, emotions, bodily reactions and behaviours.

ACT

ACT helps create more room around difficult thoughts and feelings while moving towards what matters.

EFT and existential therapy

EFT helps us understand emotional patterns. Existential therapy makes room for questions of meaning, choice, freedom, responsibility, loneliness and mortality.

  • CBT is used when it helps to make the problem more concrete and test new steps in everyday life.

  • ACT emphasises acceptance, valued direction and psychological flexibility.
  • EFT helps us approach, understand and process emotions.
  • Existential perspectives make room for questions that do not always have simple solutions but may need to be formulated.
